How can I get Dec. Orlando-Honolulu travel under $600?
Is there anyway for the love of sweet Jesus to get to Honolulu for the first two weeks of Dec. for under $600? Last week it was $580 but now it's jumped. I have the lodging chance of a lifetime but need to get out there! I live in Orlando, but could probably detour and fly Orlando to somewhere else to Honolulu if it was worth it, money-wise. (Although seperate flights entail baggage check fees all over again...) I was looking to leave around the third and come back the fourteenth... ish... Also, would I be smart to wait til closer to the date to see if fares drop?

Aloha - really hope you can make the trip happen! Priceline is right now showing weekeday flights with tax incl for $673 - so really close to the price you wanted Your local travel agent may be able to find a special fare but they are not likely to drop, they're likely to go up, especially as we get closer to the holidays so call them and ask for some prices, see what you can get Best wishes!

If you like to take risks you can wait for the very last min and then book the flight then (within 2 days of flight). You will be able to get a discounted price for your ticket if the seats are available because otherwise the airlines would fly empty seats to Hawaii, something they don't want to do. If the flights are full or still in demand then it means you are in bad luck and will have to pay whatever the going price is. I fly back and forth from Hawaii to the US at least once per month and often use this strategy. I am VERY happy with the results about 60% of the times. Sometimes I am not so lucky. I recommend you read http://www.sharinghawaii.com/hawaii-questions/finding-best-deals-hawaii for some more ideas of how to find a cheap flight to Hawaii. Good luck.

there are quite a few sites that you can search that will likely give you the best prices available. check out the website BookMe and you will be able to compare prices on all the reputable travel sites in just a couple minutes. it's very convenient and will save you a bunch of time and money. Also, make sure you buy them online... otherwise they charge much higher fees for phone orders. good luck
