About Recommendation for a Honolulu/Waikiki travel guide

Recommendation for a Honolulu/Waikiki travel guide?
When I don't know much about a topic I like to read a ton about it. I have been to a million sites online but I would still like to pick up a travel book or two to read as well. It's our honeymoon so I want to feel like I have a decent lay of the land when we get there (plus my fiance depends on me to be organized and know what's going on). I don't want to waste my time with books that don't help, we have our hotel, so I am less concerned about that and more concerned about sights, sounds and tastes of Honolulu. Thanks!

Oahu Revealed is great! I have all of the "Revealed" books and I live in Hawaii! When I travel to another island (frequently), I always consult my Revealed book on that island so I can make some good choices when it comes to accommodations, dining, shopping, beaches, and activities. I've included the link to the authors' website below, but you can find the Revealed series at any major bookstore, like Borders or Barnes and Noble. Aloha ~

Since you like being organized like I do I'd suggest the Oahu Trailblazer guidebook. We used it on our honeymoon and since my husband likes to surf he could pick and choose the closest beaches and I could find out what was in the area that we could both do afterwards. We saw the whole island that way. Waikiki was pretty touristy so we got to see lesser know places that offered space and beautiful views. For lay of the land and directions and pictures and upbeat insights, it's the best book out there. You can get it on Amazon. Hope your hotel has a view of the water, only way to go!
